The most visible part of the change is that we no longer need to write
typing.Iter[...] in every comprehension!

  • Get rid of the lambda in GenericCallable.
  • Get rid of runtime evaluation hooks
  • Get rid of Bool and Iter
  • Discuss the new runtime evaluation strategy
  • Add "Open Issues" remark about Any and comprehensions/conditionals
  • Change is either:
    • To a Draft PEP
    • To an Accepted or Final PEP, with Steering Council approval
    • To fix an editorial issue (markup, typo, link, header, etc)
  • PR title prefixed with PEP number (e.g. PEP 123: Summary of changes)

Comment thread peps/pep-0827.rst
unpacked into to *also* become ``Any``, so that something like
``tuple[*[T | None for T in Any]]`` would be ``Any``.
Arguably, though, we would like ``tuple[Any | None, ...]`` as the result,
which would require some more careful thought to specific.
